Grooming Mitts

There are basically two types of grooming mitts featured here: gloves with a brush-like surface for grooming while petting your four-legged friend; and longer safety gloves (gauntlet style) to use when handing animals that might not want to be handled or when you need to protect yourself from errant kitty claws.

Grooming gloves with a silicone or other rigid or semi-rigid surface are a fun and easy way to give your kitty a good brushing. It's like petting with benefits -- your cat enjoys having its fur stroked and you enjoy having less fur around your house. These come in five-finger glove style or mitten style and can come as single units or pairs of gloves.

Extended grooming gauntlet-style gloves are typically made of a leather or faux leather material for added protection. These can be used when you're clipping kitty's nails be sure that you don't get 'nailed' in the process. Some may prefer to wear gloves like this when it comes to crating kitty or getting ready to bring a reluctant cat to the vet or for other travel.
